Welcome back Indie Game Enthusiasts! Today I wanted to share an inspirational video I found about being a late bloomer.
I know that being an indie game developer requires a great deal of diligence, patience, creativity, and flexibility. In some cases, those of us creating our games go solo and have to take on various game development roles to put our games together.
It is important not to get discouraged when seeing the success of other indie game developers, or intimidated by large game companies when they release new successful games. While the term is cliche, everyone is running their own race.
When you truly believe in your craft and put your all into your games, it can be disheartening if you don’t receive as much attention or praise you believe your games and hard work deserve.
I want you all to know, that I see you, and in time you will bloom. You just have to continue to work hard, rest when you need to, and keep going!
Before I delved into game development, I was focused on creative writing and storytelling. Little did I know how deep game development was especially in the storytelling aspect. Outside of visual novels, every game has a story. Your story needs to be told, even if it changes one persons life for the better!
**(Updates on Tuesday!)**
See you soon!
